  • Beds and mattresses
  • Wardrobes and large furniture

Access rules and limitations

  • Fridges, fridge freezers and freezers must be empty of food, food residue or stagnant water
  • Items must be left outside the house, as close to the kerbside as possible, by 7am on the collection day

If you cannot move the items yourself: Assisted collections (wheelouts) are available for residents unable to put items out due to age or a medical condition, where no able-bodied household member can do so

Kerbside-only rules are the norm across the UK; crews are not insured to enter your home. If nobody can get your items outside, see your options when you can't lift it.

No lifting at all with WasteSpeed: a two-person crew carry from any room of the house, on your area's route day each week, from £199. Book online →

Built from WebSearch result excerpts; direct fetch of angus.gov.uk was blocked this session. Two base charges appeared in results: £27.30, explicitly dated to the 2020/21 charging year, and £37.30 (with £11.50 per extra item), referenced as the more recent figure. The £37.30 figure was used as current since it was flagged as the newer rate, but this could not be fetched directly from the live council page this session, so treat with some caution.
