Resolved this week. Three candidate figure sets were checked against each other: (1) an old baseline of £18/£30/£42/£54 for the four item bands, which reads as a historic pre-2025 rate; (2) a Sheffield Star article from 17 February 2025 reporting a POPs-disposal-driven rise taking effect from April 2025, moving the 1-3 item charge from £29.60 to £37.66 (and the other bands to £51.47, £70.72 and £89.33); and (3) the current figures quoted directly from sheffield.gov.uk's own bulky waste collection page and corroborated independently via wasteservices.sheffield.gov.uk and the Veolia Sheffield collections page: £38.90/£53.10/£72.90/£92.10. Set (3) is used as the current verified rate because it is sourced to the council's own live page (not a historic news report) and it sits just above the April 2025 post-rise figures from set (2), consistent with a small further annual uprating for April 2026, which fits the general pattern of UK council fee increases each financial year. Set (1) and the pre-rise part of set (2) are therefore superseded, not current. Wait time left null: a specific figure surfaced in search but was not seen verbatim on the council's own live page, so it is not stated as fact.
